hi there, I'm amanda!

I'm a Product Designer currently leading designs at Addgene. I studied Computer Science & Design at Northeastern University with a concentration in Interaction Design and a minor in Ethics.

I have always loved helping people growing up which led me to be especially drawn to the ethical considerations between tech & design as I learned more about how undermined these concerns are at school and within the industry. Coming from an interdisciplinary background of studio art and computer science, I strive to make accessible & meaningful design decisions through problem solving and systems thinking.

I am open minded and love to try new things. These combined interests have led me to pursue research and study abroad among many other things!

What else I'm passionate about

👩🏻‍🍳 I love baking sweets for my friends! Starting in the summer of 2025, I began to hone my pastry artistry working part-time at my favorite local Japanese bakery!

🇮🇹 In June 2023, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I learned about the philosophy behind happiness and sketched museums, streets, and public spaces.

🤖 From 2022 - 2023, I researched the gender biases in female voice assistants to define solutions our society can work towards and presented at the RISE conference.
